The Hyatt Place Amsterdam is a fantastic hotel near the airport of Schiphol! I never heard about the Hyatt Place concept before, but was pleasantly surprised! The service specifically was great – from the front desk to the driver (they offer free airport shuttle service from/to the airport) – all employees were super to deal with. Most of the staff members are what they call “hosts”. They can check you in and serve you at the bar a few minutes later. How cool is that? For European standards the reception area is large and well appointed. You can relax in one of the cozy corners, have a drink at the bar or eat something in the restaurant.

The room we stayed in was excellent! It had a sitting area with most comfortable couches, 2 televisions and a full bathroom with a great shower! The king sized bed was heaven! I should also mention the fantastic quality of their HD televisions!

Working out is possible in the large fitness center. The equipment is excellent, up to date and very convenient. Free water and fruit is offered which is a nice touch.

I would definitely recommend the Hyatt Place when you are looking for a hotel near Schiphol and would consider this concept for sure when traveling in the US (or elsewhere). Loved it!
