I was pretty excited to visit one of the best hotels in Düsseldorf, the Steigenberger Parkhotel and I expected much. Honestly, I was blown away by this property. It truly has this “grand” feeling and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating!

The building itself is beautiful. They kept some authentic elements and added some more modern touches, this results in a perfect combination of both old and new. The reception area is large and classy. Check-in went smoothly and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Although this is a large hotel, they treat you in a very personal way. The bar next to the reception area is gorgeous!

We stayed in a grand deluxe room and were very satisfied with this room. Rooms are stunning at the Steigenberger Parkhotel Düsseldorf and have a great size! It felt like sleeping in a castle. A small saloon with the most comfortable couches, a large desk for business and a very comfortable bed. The room was definitely of a five star level! Other amenities I appreciated: the Nespresso coffee machine and an umbrella. The umbrella may sound silly, but only in true five star hotels I usually find an umbrella 😉

The bathroom had bath tub, double sink and separate toilet and bidet. Oh, and I do need to mention the toiletries! One of the best I have ever had in any hotel! Also liked the fresh rose…

A full fitness center and wellness area are available for guests at no additional charge. During the time I was there, they were renovating the place so I was unable to visit.

At night, we had dinner at their signature restaurant ‘Artiste’. First of all, wonderful decoration! Very classy, very up to date and oh so cozy! I could have spent hours in this restaurant! The menu is great, they have several options. As a starter I had the asparagus soup which was very tasty. The lamb as a main course was delicious and the dessert with champagne was like heaven. On top of that, the service was top notch. Every request we had was taken care of. Thumbs up! Definitely have dinner here when you’re in beautiful Düsseldorf! You won’t regret 🙂

After dinner we had a coffee at the bar with live piano music. It was the perfect way to end a wonderful day at this grand hotel! When we were back in our fancy room, the room had been made up. Turn down service is available and will make sure you have everything you need for a perfect night. Again, the beds are of a good quality and we didn’t hear a thing from outside… The view we had, by the way, was really nice!

The next day, we walked through the park. Although I have been to Düsseldorf several times, I haven’t been to the park yet and was surprised by how big and beautiful it is. It is just 2 steps away from the hotel. After the walk, we enjoyed the breakfast. The five star breakfast was excellent: we started with a glass of champagne, always a bonus! The buffet contains of several hot/cold items, many juices (I was really impressed by this! Do try the juice with forest fruits) and don’t forget to order your egg. I also ordered the French toast which was to die for…

The Steigenberger Parkhotel Düsseldorf is a top class five star hotel, one of my favorites… Would definitely stay here again on one of my next trips to this beautiful city and recommend you to do the same!
