The Hilton Munich Park is a five star hotel located at the large park of Munich. Did you know that this park is even bigger than New York’s Central Park? It is just huge and definitely worth a visit while you are in Munich.

The hotel has been renovated over the last couple of years and is a totally up to date hotel today. The large chandelier with tons of lighted leaves is just stunning and is the eye catcher in the lobby area. When we arrived (before check-in time) our room wasn’t ready yet and they offered a welcome drink which we consumed while seated in one of the comfortable sitting areas. After a few minutes our keys to the rooms were handed.

We stayed in an executive room. The room had a decent size and I loved the comfortable couch. It was the perfect couch to relax and watch some television :). Bathroom had a nice size too featuring a bathtub, single sink and toilet.

Since we stayed in an executive room, we had access to the executive lounge located on the 12th floor. Complimentary soft and hot drinks as well as small bites are offered here all day. At night, from 6pm to 8pm, alcoholic drinks such as wine and spirits can be consumed. Canapés are offered then too. As usual, I find those executive lounges a great deal. Not only for the drinks and snacks but breakfast is served there too. The personal approach is appreciated as well.

On the lower level of the Hilton Munich Park, there’s a spa and health club with large fitness center, indoor pool and sauna + steam room. A pool is always a bonus and although it is pretty small, it is fun to able to swim after a day exploring Munich. They offer several treatments here as well.

At night we had dinner at Tivoli, the signature restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and I found the service top notch! For example, my dad requested a cocktail with Grand Marnier and although it wasn’t on the list, the most friendly lady called the bartender which was happy to make one. I ordered a steak as a main course which truly was delicious and prepared as requested. And of course I just had to try the Bayern speciality: the Apple Strudle which was outstanding. Loved it! Be sure to book a table at Tivoli when you are staying at the Hilton Munich Park, you won’t be sorry 🙂

The next morning it was time to leave, unfortunately. We had to catch a plane pretty early in the morning f couldn’t make it for breakfast. However, they were happy to provide some breakfast boxes for us and coffee at check-out. What a great service!

You really can’t go wrong by booking a room at the Hilton Munich Park. Service is very good, food is amazing and rooms are comfortable. The hotel deserves its good reputation. Thumbs up, Hilton Munich Park!

Rated as the number 1 hotel in Amsterdam on Tripadvisor, the Toren hotel is a jewel in the middle of the city center. Located right at the Keizersgracht, you really can’t beat this location. The Anna Franks House is just a few minutes away and also other famous attractions are nearby. This hotel truly is what an Amsterdam’s hotel should look like. Initially it was a one star hotel runned by the Toren family. Nowadays, the hotel is an up to date luxurious four star hotel with all the amenities one could wish for.

The Toren hotel only has 38 rooms which gives this hotel a true boutique feeling. From the moment I stepped in, I was pampered. The small lobby area is very accommodating, cosy and decorated with style. Although Amsterdam has a lot of large famous brand hotels, those small hotels offer an exceptional and personal experience. As you could expect, service at the Toren hotel is top notch and probably is the key factor why this hotel is rated as the best hotel in Amsterdam. Every single staff member I met was so kind and yet professional. Everybody will do their upmost best to make you feel at ease!

Although there are only 38 rooms (which is a good thing!), the hotel does have 15 different types of rooms. We stayed in a special garden suite with an amazing garden view. The garden suite we stayed in was very luxurious featuring high quality materials and furnishings. The bed was among the most comfortable I have slept in and the 2 persons Jacuzzi was to die for. A walk-in (rain)shower was available too and works as a luxurious steam shower as well. Without doubt, one of the best showers I have ever experienced in any hotel! High quality toiletries are provided as well. It definitely was one of the most romantic rooms I stayed at in Amsterdam! We had direct access to the peaceful garden which is the best place to hang out after a busy day in Amsterdam.

The garden is a hidden gem at the Toren hotel. You wouldn’t say you are in the center of Amsterdam. It was so quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed drinking a cocktails outside, definitely check out their cocktail menu! They have one of the best cocktails in Amsterdam! Even if the weather does not permit, the bar inside the hotel is such a beautiful place. Decorated with large drapes and chandeliers, it is the perfect place for romantic moments. It is nice to just walk around in the hotel as there is a surprise waiting for you behind almost every corner.

There is no full service restaurant on site, but the Toren hotel does offer a small menu with several cold and hot dishes such as light bites, burgers, etc. When you are in Amsterdam, you definitely should try the fried snacks, they are to die for and are the perfect pre dinner snacks!

Every morning, a buffet breakfast is serves downstairs in the very stylish breakfast room. Again, I loved the typical Dutch decoration and touches. The food itself was outstanding and they offer several healthy options such a lot of fruit, juices, etc.

No wonder that the Toren hotel is rated among the best hotels in Amsterdam! It is one of the most beautiful four star hotels I have stayed at and highly recommend to book your room here if you’re looking for a typical Dutch hotel in the middle of Amsterdam! It felt like a home away from home and that truly is unique! Can’t wait to stay here again!
