I have travelled all over the world and have found the Nassauer Hof to be one of the most exquisite boutique grand hotels in my experience. Nassauer Hof is a historic 5 star hotel and is well located in the center of Wiesbaden. The history of the hotel goes back to 1813 and hosted many notable guests over the years such as John F. Kennedy and many more! You can’t beat the location! The hotel is located directly opposite the historic Kurhaus and just a short walk away from the main shopping area and museums. The trade fair and congress centre is reachable within walking distance.

We were welcomed by a very courteous bellman who parked our car and escorted us into the beautiful lobby. I immediately realized why this is one of the top rated hotels in the area. Did you know that Nassauer Hof was the first hotel in Germany which receive the ‘five star superior’ rating? It is actually the place to be for all the travelers looking for an experience. Further, we were greeted by an exceptionally great front desk staff. Check-in went smoothly and the staff were just extremely professional, going to extraordinary lengths to make everybody’s stay pleasurable. They even remember your names.

All the guestrooms at Nassauer Hof are unique and very tastefully decorated. It’s all about the details and to be honest, the bed was one the best I have ever experienced! The Executive Suite we stayed in was opulent and charming at the same time, perfectly appointed and completely functional. I loved the comfy couches and large desk. I had a few requests and everyone, from housekeeping to room service or the food and beverage servers, makes it their goal to treat all their guests like VIPs. The suite came with a separate living room and bedroom.

The bathroom was quite spacious, featuring a separate tub and shower, large sink and separate toilet. Toiletries were amazing! One cool thing I never saw before in any hotel: the bathroom came with two infrared lights in the ceiling. Very nice and oh-so comfortable! The dressing room was a bonus!

It would be very difficult to get bored at Nassauer Hof as it offers a fully equipped hotel gym and fitness facilities and we totally enjoyed the gorgeous Therme spa area. At 1,500 m² it is huge and we tried everything: the amazing indoor pool, sauna and steam room. The whole area is just relaxing and beautifully decorated. The gorgeous rooftop thermal pool is filled with water from the hotel’s own hot springs, how cool is that? The views over Wiesbaden are just wonderful.

The Artemis Beauty Spa is a perfect place for ultimate relaxation! The most wonderful staff made me feel at ease right from the moment I stepped in.  They are very knowledgeable about the high quality products they use here. The rejuvenating face cream from Zwyer does feel amazing! The luxurious formula with the precious ZwyerCaviar complex, functional peptides and powerful antioxidants prevents the loss of skin elastic. It helps to reduce DNA damage and wrinkles and supports crucial skin cell functions. Also, the Artemis products are of a high quality. I am actually thinking about using the products on a regular basis. Artemis works according to the ‘less is more’ philosophy and is oriented around skin conditions. After using the products, I had an intense feeling of well-being! Loved it!

I also got to experience a treatment by Thomas Bonk, the Spa Manager of Nassauer Hof Therme. He’s a real professional and immediately noticed the right treatment for me. After one hour of hard work 😊 he made me feel so much better. He was very knowledgeable about the human body and did give me some advice after the treatment for me to do some exercises at home to relieve the pain I sometimes experience. Highly recommended to book a treatment here!

Nassauer Hof offers several dining options. The first night we enjoyed a light dinner at the Nassauer Hof Bar which is famed for its extraordinary selection of whiskeys. This traditional cocktail bar is located near the lobby area and offers a small menu with delicious options. This was the perfect place to have a small dinner as we arrived pretty late at the hotel. We totally enjoyed the coziness of the place. Having dinner in front of the open fire while listening to live piano music was a treat!

The next morning we had breakfast Restaurant Orangerie. What a gorgeous place to have breakfast! The breakfast selection and service were amazing and they had my favorite fruit, muffins and excellent coffee. The large buffet was leisurely and good with great hot food choices. All in all, an excellent breakfast that set us up for the day. Of course, guests can enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner here as well.

A visit at Nassauer Hof wouldn’t be complete without have dinner at ENTE. This gourmet restaurant with leading Chef Michael Kammermeir has been awarded with one Michelin star and embraces global cuisine on the highest level.  Each dish was served at the correct temperature, by servers who are skilled, polite and attentive without being intrusive. The décor is impressive and tasteful, the seating allows easy conversation without being hampered by other tables in the vicinity and each course that you order, including drinks, arrives exactly at the perfect moment. I must highlight their signature dish: grated Alsatian foi gras accompanied with Riesling jelly, pear, smoked almonds and salt butter brioche. Each dish blew me away!
