Steigenberger Parkhotel Düsseldorf is known as one of the best hotel in Düsseldorf. I just had to explore and experience this hotel myself and I can definitely say that it deserves its good reputation. Making part of the Steigenberger hotel chain, the hotel offers a very high quality level. The hotel is located in the heart of the city. Whether you are in Düsseldorf for shopping, sightseeing or businesses purposes, everything is nearby… Very convenient! Düsseldorf’s most prestigious shopping boulevard, the Königsallee is only a few steps away. I stayed in many hotels in Düsseldorf already, but this one definitely has one of the better locations! From the outside, the hotel looks already like a grand hotel.
When I entered the Steigenberger Parkhotel Düsseldorf, I immediately knew that our stay here would be a great one. The hotel has a great history. Did you know that the hotel opened back in 1902? From then the hotel has been considered the apple of Düsseldorf’s eye with its famous view over the city’s Hofgarten. The grand lobby is stylish with beautiful art works and furnishings. The Christmas decoration made it even more cozy.
I also immediately notice the most famous Champagne lounge in town, The “Steigenberger Eck“ which is a very stylish place to hang out.
Staff made us feel welcome right from the beginning. From the comfortable seating areas to the efficient check-in procedure, everything went smoothly and ultra friendly right from the beginning. With a total of 130 rooms and suites, the Steigenberger Parkhotel Düsseldorf isn’t a very large hotel which is why they offer a very personal service to each guest. After the wonderful check-in, it was time to explore our room!
Kindy note that the Steigenberg Parkhotel Düsseldorf has begun to renovate their rooms. The Grand Deluxe Room we stayed in was large and ultra luxurious. All rooms here are decorated with high quality materials, but the newly renovated rooms truly are mindblowing! The room actually felt like a large junior suite with an ultra luxurious sitting area, large (gorgeous!) working desk and the most comfortable bed. The lines on the king sized bed were great!
The marble bathroom was very comfortable featuring an oversized shower. Complimentary toiletries were provided and smelled absolutely amazing! Love those…
Steigenberger Parkhotel Düsseldorf has a wellness area with sauna, steam room and a complete fitness center. Always nice to be able to make use of those facilities after a day in busy Düsseldorf. After the work out, I enjoyed some me-time in the steam room and got totally relaxed in the relaxation area. The place was immaculately clean and staff was, again, very professional and kind.
The hotel has the best hotel-restaurant in town, Artiste, with its beautiful winter garden. This fine-dining restaurant is the place to be for a delicious dinner. Chef Patrick did inspire us with his creative dishes. For a fine-dining restaurant, the menu is quite large. There are a lot of options to choose from. I started with the scallop ‘Escabeche’ which came with silken tofu and caviar. The Norwegian halibut that followed was to die for, especially with the fried chicken on top of it. You should definitely try this dish yourself. You won’t be disappointed! The ‘Eifler’ venison as a main dish was one of the best I had! Each dish was divine and also great to look at! My partner had the goose menu. That is right, Restaurant Artiste has a goose menu and it is one of a kind. The stuffed goose liver accompanied with parsley root, brioche and pineapple was impressive. I must also highlight the top notch service and wine knowledge of the staff! The live piano music made the evening even more pleasant.
Speaking of food, having breakfast at Steigenberger Parkhotel Düsseldorf is something to look forward to. The extensive buffet truly offers something for just everybody! Some highlights I experienced were the fancy à la carte options (a must try is their cheese-omelette, loved those!) and of course, a glass of sparkling wine is the perfect start of the day!
Steigenberger Parkhotel Düsseldorf is one of a kind! I love every aspect of this place. It truly is a ‘grandhotel’ and staying here is a guarantee of a flawless stay in an ultra luxurious environment. You will love it!
