Breidenbacher Hof in Düsseldorf is an iconic establishment renowned for its opulent luxury and impeccable hospitality. To me, it is one of the most luxurious hotels in Europe. Nestled in the heart of the vibrant city, this hotel is a true gem, drawing guests in with its awe-inspiring decor and world-class amenities.

From the moment visitors step through the grand entrance of the Breidenbacher Hof, they are transported into a world of unparalleled elegance. The awe-inspiring marble staircase is a centerpiece of the lobby, exuding an air of sophistication and splendor. The intricate details of the décor, with plush furnishings, fine artwork, and carefully curated ornaments, add to the sense of luxury throughout the hotel.





Check-in was very efficient and kind. Nothing is asked for too much here and every request will be taken care of. As soon as our room key was handed, we were brought to their ‘living room’. This is a place where guests can relax in one of the comfortable couches and enjoy a complimentary soft or hot drink during the day and night. You could compare it with an executive lounge that is accessible for all guests.



Then it was time to explore our room! The Breidenbacher Hof offers a range of sumptuous accommodations that cater to the most discerning travelers. The luxury rooms are a true haven of comfort. Our Grand Deluxe Room featured a tastefully designed petit salon that provides a separate space for relaxation or business meetings. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the room, from the high-quality linens to the personalized amenities, ensuring an unforgettable stay. The attention for details is spectacular. For example, they did place a photo on the bedside table of one of my cats. What a great touch. It made me feel at home even more!



The large marble bathroom is a masterpiece in itself, exuding a sense of lavishness and indulgence. Equipped with modern fixtures and spacious enough to allow for ultimate comfort. The free standing bath tub was perfect to relax. There was also an oversized (rain)shower. Complimentary luxury bath products are provided as well as plush towels and bathrobes.



At night, we had dinner at The Duchy, the signature restaurant at the Breidenbacher Hof! The most friendly staff took us on a culinary journey that delights the senses. Known for its commitment to using the finest ingredients and innovative preparation techniques, The Duchy offers a memorable gastronomic adventure.



The dinner commenced with the tantalizing Summer Ceviche, a refreshing dish bursting with flavors of the season. The combination of fresh seafood, citrusy notes, and a hint of herbs created a harmonious and light starter that set the stage for the culinary feast to follow. he main course was an exquisite serving of Salmon Trout sourced from the pristine waters of Lambachtal. The fish, cooked to perfection, offered a delightful blend of textures and was accompanied by an array of complementary flavors that left guests in awe of the culinary artistry. To conclude the meal, we were treated to a divine dessert featuring the freshest Schwarzbachtal strawberries. The delightful interplay of flavors, including elderflower, yogurt, and cucumber, created a sweet yet refreshing finale to an exceptional dining experience.





An after drink is possible in the upper Lobby Lounge and bar.



In the morning, before breakfast, I love to swim. Luckily, the Breidenbacher Hof has an indoor pool, sauna and steamroom. It truly is the perfect way to start your day. Everything is maintained in a very good way.

Welcome to Okura Amsterdam, a luxurious five-star hotel located in the heart of Amsterdam. Known for its elegant ambiance, world-class service, and remarkable dining experiences, Okura Amsterdam offers a perfect blend of modernity and traditional Japanese hospitality. Okura Amsterdam stands tall as an iconic landmark in the city. Making part of the Leading Hotels of the World, I had high expectations!

As soon as you enter Okura Amsterdam, you enter a world full of luxury. The lobby is beautifully designed and appointed with many comfortable seating areas. We were welcomed with a smile and everything we needed to know about the hotel was explained in a very professional way.




Walking around in hotel Okura Amsterdam is an activity on itself. Even the hallways are luxurious and appointed with great art work.



Our room at Okura Amsterdam was nothing short of exceptional. Upon entering, we were immediately struck by the elegant and contemporary design, reflecting a perfect blend of Japanese aesthetics and modern comfort. The room was generously spacious, providing ample space for relaxation and movement. I had some work to do and was happy to find out there’s an oversized desk. The centerpiece of the room was undoubtedly the king-sized bed, which was sumptuously comfortable. The high-quality mattress and premium bedding ensured a restful night’s sleep. The crisp, luxurious linens and plump pillows added an extra layer of comfort, making it difficult to leave the bed in the morning.



The en-suite bathroom was a spa-like haven, boasting sleek marble finishes and premium toiletries. The spacious walk-in shower featured both a rain showerhead and a handheld option, providing a refreshing and invigorating bathing experience. The deep soaking bathtub beckoned for a relaxing soak after a long day of exploration. The plush bathrobes and slippers added an extra touch of luxury.



Our room came with access to the Panorama Lounge, a luxurious lounge where they serve hot and cold drinks during the day. They serve alcoholic drinks in the evening too. In the morning, a small breakfast buffet is available here. It is a very quiet place where it is great to relax or doing some work.




After unpacking, it was time to further explore Okura Amsterdam. I was happy to find out that there’s a large wellness area. Nagomi Gym & Wellness features a large fitness facility, large indoor pool, sauna, steamroom and several treatment rooms.




I decided to unwind and pamper myself at the hotel’s spa. The spa area exudes tranquility, with soothing music and a calming ambiance. The spa staff greeted us warmly and assisted in selecting the perfect treatment.

The spa menu featured an extensive range of rejuvenating therapies, including massages, facials, and body treatments. I opted for the traditional relaxing massage and was not disappointed. The skilled therapist used a combination of acupressure and stretching techniques to release tension and revitalize my body.

After relaxing, it was time for one of the highlights of Okura Amsterdam: dinner at Teppanyaki restaurant Sazanka. This fine dining restaurant offers a unique culinary adventure. Upon entering, we were greeted by a serene and inviting ambiance. The Teppanyaki stations were impeccably set, giving us a front-row seat to watch the skilled chefs expertly prepare our meal with flair and precision.



The menu at Sazanka is a masterpiece, featuring a wide array of premium Japanese ingredients and delicacies. The Kobe beef was undoubtedly the highlight, showcasing a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that left us astounded. Each course was artfully presented, showcasing the chef’s creativity and attention to detail. The interaction with the chef throughout the meal added a personal touch, making the experience not only delectable but also entertaining.





Our stay at Okura Amsterdam was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel’s dedication to providing a seamless experience was evident in every aspect. No wonder it is rated as one of the best five star hotels in Amsterdam! The standout feature of the Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is undoubtedly its mesmerizing views. As I arrived at the resort, I was greeted with awe-inspiring panoramas of the lush green hills, turquoise waters of the East Sea, and the white sandy beach below. The resort’s unique design allows for unobstructed views from many vantage points, making it a perfect destination for travelers seeking a serene and picturesque retreat. Check-in was done in the club lounge. Everything we needed to know about the resort was explained in a very professional yet friendly way. Speaking of the club lounge, this luxurious area gives you the opportunity to add more privacy during your stay. As a club lounge guest, I had access to a range of amenities, including a private check-in area, a dedicated concierge service, and a serene lounge area. The lounge provided complimentary refreshments throughout the day, including light snacks, beverages, and evening cocktails. The staff at the club lounge were attentive and made sure every guest felt pampered and well taken care of.




As I entered the room, I was immediately struck by the sense of grandeur. The spaciousness of the room was beyond expectations, allowing for unrestricted movement and a feeling of openness. The thoughtfully designed layout made excellent use of the available space, incorporating a separate seating area, a plush king-sized bed, and a writing desk.

I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at one of the resort’s renowned restaurants, Barefoot, where I was served an exquisite beef tartare and sea bass dish. The presentation was impeccable, and the flavors were simply divine. The chef’s attention to detail and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients truly elevated the dining experience with direct beach views. An after drink at L_o_n_g bar is a must do, it is the longest bar in Vietnam!





As mentioned before, the resort has a paradise feeling. The pool and beach are definitely must visits when you stay at the resort. One of the unique features of this resort is the transportation system to the sea level. The resort’s funicular ride was not only a practical mode of transportation but also an exhilarating experience. As I descended from the hilltop to the beach area, I was treated to even more stunning views of the coastline and surrounding landscapes. The funicular ride itself was smooth, safe, and added a touch of adventure to the overall stay.

The beach area is breathtaking. It’s gorgeous. This is what paradise looks like. The infinity pool overlooking the sea and palm trees is the place to relax and unwind. Pool service was excellent.






Before we left, we had breakfast at Citron. It was a memorable affair that combines breathtaking views, a diverse culinary selection, and impeccable service. Whether indulging in local delicacies or savoring international favorites, guests are treated to a culinary journey that delights the senses. The Terrace’s idyllic setting and top-notch service make it an ideal place to start the day on a high note, leaving guests with lasting memories of a truly luxurious breakfast experience.





My stay at the Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was a truly unforgettable experience.
