Rated as one of the best hotels in the city, the Hilton The Hague is a high end 5 star property. This impressive hotel is set within the restored buildings of the former Royal Dutch Telecom headquarters. The location is perfect, prominently located in the embassy quarter of the city center and within walking distance of the many shops The Hague has to offer!

The lobby area is spacious and modern. I loved the interior design throughout this hotel! Quite modern without being over the top and cozy at the same time. We were welcomed with a smile and check-in went smoothly. They handed us a map of the city and told us everything we needed to know about the hotel and facilities.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite and were impressed with the overall quality and design of the room. The separate bedroom had a large king sized bed and cozy couch. There were 2 large desks and plenty of closets. The bathroom had double sinks, separate bath tub and a 2 persons (rain) shower. The living room had a dining table and small saloon. I loved the décor of the room, very nicely done with warm colors and high quality materials. Other facilities you may expect from a 5 star hotel: Nespresso coffee machine, Bose docking station and toiletries of a good quality.

We had access to the executive lounge which is located on the 5th floor. Here, guests can enjoy complimentary soft drinks and coffee all day long. During the evening, alcoholic beverages and light bites are offered at no additional charge. Although the lounge wasn’t too large, it was nice sitting there during day and night. It is an intimate space where guests can work or just relax and chat. I do recommend upgrading to the executive lounge as it has a lot of advantages. If you’re not a big eater, you actually don’t have to leave the hotel as there are many (small) food options for you to enjoy so you won’t get hungry.

The Hilton The Hague has one fine dining restaurant, Pearl. This restaurant is inspired by the Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer’s painting ‘Girl with a pearl earring’. Breakfast is served here every day. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with soft and colorful lighting effects. When I was taking pictures here, I looked outside for a second thinking how great it should be to enjoy the dishes outside while watching the boats floating by during summer time. There’s a full bar as well, named Spark.

The fitness center is up to date and has great equipment with small build-in television screens. Complimentary water is provided. After the work out I had some work to do and enjoyed the business center with computer and printing facilities. I also liked the location of the business center, it was fun watching people walking by while working.

After a great night, it was time to get up and enjoy breakfast. Since we were staying in a suite with lounge access, we had the option to have breakfast in the lounge or at Pearl, the restaurant I talked about earlier. We choose to have breakfast downstairs and enjoyed every bite. It was a buffet style breakfast with several à la carte options.

No wonder that the Hilton The Hague is known for its service and overall quality. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, 5 stars all the way!
