Situated on the beautiful beaches of Nusa Dua, the Ritz-Carlton Bali is one of the top beach resorts on the amazing island of Bali. This luxurious five star resort has only opened 1,5 year ago and everything still looks brand new. Welcome in paradise!

The dramatic entrance as they call it, truly is spectacular. You enter the semi open lobby area and immediately notice the fantastic view all over the resort. I couldn’t believe my eyes, it is so beautiful… so peaceful and oh so romantic. When I think of Bali, this is exactly what I would expect. Check-in was very efficient and personal. A welcome drink was offered and the administration only took a few minutes.

This actually was my first experience at a Ritz-Carlton property and I had high expectations. The brand is well known for its service and overall quality. When I entered the hotel, everything felt right here. After check-in we were escorted to our beautiful junior suite which was located in villa one. That’s right, the hotel is build up in several buildings and the resort does feel like a small luxurious village. At 100m², the suite was huge and the king sized bed was heavenly. Did you know that several guests actually buy the beds after their stay? I can easily understand why! I loved the lay-out of the room, you can actually lay-out the room yourself as there are moving walls. The semi open marble bath room has a tub, huge walk-in (rain)shower and his/hers sinks. The suite came with 2 HD televisions and some comfortable couches. The oversized balcony offered the most amazing views all over the resort and ocean. I also appreciated the high tech facilities such as the electronic controlled drapes, etc.

There is so much to do here and even just walking around the resort is so much fun. It is almost unbelievable how well maintained this place is. I saw staff working and maintaining the gardens every time of the day. There are several types of suites and villas at the Ritz-Carlton Bali. Some of them even have access to their private pools. There are 2 main pools located right at the beach. The infinity pools are large and very clean. There’s a great laid back ambiance around the pool and beach area with a lot of comfortable loungers. No need to put your towels here to ‘reserve’ your spot in the sun. Pool service was great too, they greet you as soon as you approach the pool area and make sure you’ll have everything you need. They even provide complimentary sun cream if you forget yours. Complimentary water and several small bites such as fruit etc. are offered as well.

There are several secrets spots to be discovered at the Ritz-Carlton Bali. Let me share some secrets: there’s a large vitality pool which is located in the spa building of the hotel. It never felt crowded here and most of the time I was here just by myself. It truly is great to relax. Another (small) pool can be found in the spa area itself, right back the back of the spa center. This jungle pool is amazing and ideal for romantic moments! Another great feature is the Ritz-Carlton’s club lounge. This private lounge offers a lot of privacy. Drinks and snacks can be consumed here all day long. I had breakfast here and the small buffet was excellent! You can even order … coffee here which is made of the bets. There’s even a private pool where guests can relax in a private hidden gem.

Bali is known for its culture and temples. The Ritz-Carlton Bali has its own temple. It is a fun activity to look for the temple with kids. And speaking about kids, this resort is very child friendly! The kids club is very large and will please every kid. There is supervision during the day for kids between 4 – 12 and they can even play and hang out at their own pool. When I was there, I saw several kids playing together, making new friends etc. while the parents were enjoying themselves at the resort, at the beach for example. The beach probably is one of the most romantic places at the Ritz-Carlton Bali. The private cabanas are fantastic. Just look at the picture below, I spent all day there, doing nothing but relax 🙂 By the way, did you know that the Ritz-Carlton Bali even has its own wedding chapel? It is located right at the beach, the views are unbelievable…

The awarded spa center at the Ritz-Carlton Bali is enormous and one of the best spa facilities I have ever seen. We thoroughly enjoyed the Tropical Marine Pleasure. This treatment took about 2 hours and will make you feel like reborn! It starts with a refreshing seaweed body scrub to gently exfoliate the skin. After that it was time to relax with a detoxifying and nutrient-rich mineralizing seaweed body wrap that replenishes the skin. At last, the treatment ends with a complete body massage using inspiring oil that totally left me with a calm and tranquil feeling.

At night, we had dinner at Bejana, their signature Indonesian restaurant. This unique restaurant is located at the top of the resort and offers spectacular views over the resort. They even used real cave rocks in this place, how cool is that! The food and service were outstanding. We enjoyed the rijsttafel dinner which had Indonesian/Balinese dishes. As most food of those regions can be really spicy, it wasn’t the case here. You can request the food to be prepared exactly the way you want it. Service was so friendly… They will make sure you are enjoying your time here and every single request has been taken care of with a smile! It truly is all about service here! People are so nice, the level of service is very high at the Ritz-Carlton Bali. I never felt uncomfortable requesting for something and I was greeted every single time I met one of the staff members.
