As most of you already know, i am a fan of Kempsinki hotels and was glad finding out that there’s a Kempinski hotel in Jakarta. It is one of the best rated hotels in the city and it did not disappoint me at all! It is located right in the heart of Jakarta, right next to the Selamat Datang Monument. It made me wonder how Jakarta will look like from above! I couldn’t wait to see the swiping views 🙂

From the very first moment I stepped in this hotel, I knew that every single thing in this hotel would be right. The grand lobby almost took my breath away… Staff was very accommodating and the hotel does presents the hospitality of Jakarta.  Another cool thing is that most hotels in Jakarta offer complimentary parking and so does the Kempinski Jakarta!

The room I stayed at was large (66 m²!), very luxurious and had all facilities I would expect from a high class five star hotel. Decoration was just stunning and the room looked brand new. I would describe them as contemporary luxury. It definitely is one of the nicest rooms in any five star hotel I have experienced. They definitely used high class material. The large marble bathroom had a large free standing bath tub, oversized rain shower and separate toilet. At night, I took a bath and has this incredible view over the main square. Even the different lighting was just amazing. Definitely try that out when you’re there!

We had access to the executive lounge. The lounge is very cozy and luxurious! I could spend all day here 🙂 I liked the personal service here. When staff members remember your name, that is always a bonus! Complimentary soft and hot drinks are available all day long. In the morning there’s a (small) buffet. I recommend having breakfast here if you want a quiet place to enjoy your meal. We had breakfast downstairs and although it was pretty busy, the buffet was one of the best I have ever experienced! The choices are amazing, from Asian to European to American dishes, there’s something for everyone here! There’s small buffet with apetizers in the evening as well as several alcoholic beverages.

The rooftop pool was great to hang out as it was a very hot day when we were there! There was a relaxed atmosphere and pool service was great, towels and water were provided in just seconds. Soft music was playing all over the place which I thoroughly enjoyed. Next to the pool is a large fitness and wellness center. The spa treatment I experienced was amazing! First I had to complete the usual form with my preferences and they met my expectations! The therapist did a great job and made me feel relaxed. I could even choose from different aromas. The spa suite itself was beautifully decorated and the music was so relaxing, it made me feel zen in just seconds! This was the perfect way to relax after a long flight…

The Kempinski Jakarta offers 6 dining options, from (business) casual to more formal. I never tried true Japanese food before and was excited to have lunch at OKU, one of the best rated Japanese restaurants in Jakarta! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were blown away not only by the decoration but also from the staff and overall quality of the food. We started with their signature mojito cocktail and then tried the chicken with rice and noodles. The sorbert dessert was yummie! J Highly recommended to try the restaurant, it is gorgeous!

No wonder the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski is rated as one of the very best five star hotels in Jakarta! This hotel is top notch in every single way! Loved it!
